First Lady Melania Trump learned she wasn't going to the inauguration of the new US President via Twitter, it has been reported.

Two days after shocking riots flared up on Capitol Hill President Donald Trump told the world he would snub President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration which is set to take place next week.

He tweeted the news on an account that no longer exists after the social media giant banned him in the wake of the violence that led to five deaths last week.

According to CNN, many inside the White House were hearing the President's thoughts on such an historic issue for the first time - including his wife, said a senior White House staffer.

The source is reported to have said: "It's not the first time she has learned what he was doing because he tweeted it before he told her.

"She's part of this. She can be silent, but she's part of this."

The First Lady is said to be now more than halfway through shipping belongings as President Trump's term of office comes to an end. 토토

A White House official told CNN she was 'not sad to be leaving.'

It comes after lawmakers made history after voting to impeach the outgoing Republican - making him the first President in US history to be impeached twice.

The House voted 232 to 197 to impeach Trump, casting their ballots in the very chamber where rioters forced lawmakers to flee last week.
