Getting back into Sydney dating life is a bit like getting back into spinning class….you do not want to do it..but you know that you must...and you know that you will be sore the next day! But no pain on gain!

I went out on my first blind date since getting back from holidays. This is the new less cynical and more open to love me. Greg was a 30 something hospitality manager from New Zealand. He was originally from Italy but had spent most of his time in Australia and Europe. So he had basically an Aussie accent.

He had ended a long term relationship about a year ago and was looking to jump back into the dating scene. There is something about Italians…they seem to have passion and energy. Greg and I had exchanged some flirty emails including a few raunchy photos.

We decided to enjoy the nice autumn weather and have brunch at Tigerbaker on Victoria Street. I just love their bread and eggs! The brunch was much better than the date. Greg whom I suspect was suffering from both nerves and verbal diarrhea failed to take any breaks in our ...rather his conversation. Within 45 minutes, I knew everything there was to know about his past love life (four long term relationships, averaging six years each), career (hospitality industry) and interests (food, cooking, coffee and sex). I hardly got a word in…..only dropping the occasional ahah and nodding my head every ten minutes.
