My friend Jenny and I are headed to the Gold Coast in southern Queensland tonight for a belated Schoolies celebration. Schoolies week is traditionally held in the Gold Coast in Australia for young people who complete their high school. It is basically a massive street party with lots of alcohol, drugs and probably shagging.
Our belated schoolies weekend is probably a bit more grown up and posh. We are staying at the Marriott Hotel with hopefully some good views of the beaches. If only the sun would come out…it is supposed to rain. We are also spending a day doing the amusement park circuit. The Gold Coast is known as the amusement/theme park capital of Australia.
Neither Jenny nor I had a proper schoolies week. In high school many of my friends ended up going to Florida, Cancun or Europe. I stayed at home instead. Jenny missed hers as well. Life is short…so we thought this would be our chance to make up for that lost opportunity. I am secretly hoping to get Jenny laid!
